Life’s Treasures

You're My Friend Forever
By: Edwin Jr. B. Ramos

Thank you for being there
In darkness, you’re still there
You acted as my soldier;
My protector, my brother

When we are together
You make me feel better
Just always remember,
You’re my friend, forever

My Relationship with God

Prayer is my weapon

From beginning, God gives me the best. Even though I gave him worst, but still He gave the best one. My trust in God flows out of the experience of his loving me, day in and day out, whether the day is stormy or fair, whether I'm sick or in good health, whether I'm in a state of grace or disgrace. He comes to me where I live and loves me as I am. Our heavenly Father understands our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear, and doubt. He is always there to encourage our hearts and help us understand that He's sufficient for all of our needs. That’s why I am here to this world not only to be part of it but to serve God until my last breath. God is my father, my creator and my everything. My mission in this world is to praise Him, be his son and obey his commandments.

How I Value My Family?

The love of a family is much more important than wealth and privilege. We don't choose our family. They are God's gift to us, as we are to them. I'm lucky to have a complete family. They are my strength in life. They are my protector and my everything. I salute them for loving me unconditionally. I value them in a way that I show my love to my parents and siblings. I also obey my parents' commandments in our house as well as I do my obligations as a brother to my siblings. I do believe that the key to have a wholesome family should have a communication, trust, commitment, responsibility, understanding, respect, love and faith. Because the family that prays together, stays forever.

The BMR's Hierarchy of Needs

Do you agree to the additional levels in the extended hierarchy of needs?

I completely agree because humans need the cognitive, aesthetic and transcendence needs in order to feel fulfillment in life. Cognitive needs are important in order to be a knowledgeable person. You can think properly because of this needs. In aesthetic needs, physical appearance is also important. One of the main reason why it becomes  a need because nowadays, people are judgmental. In the other hand, transcendence is also important. It is the way you help others in order for them to realize their self fulfillment.

Do you agree with the percentage in every level of needs in the video?
I agree because as the level getting higher and higher, the importance(percentage) of the level getting lower and lower.

Self-Reflection

As I watched the video "Self-Esteem, Inner Confidence, Positive Self-Talk", I just realized that every individual is unique. We have different attitudes, outlook in life. We are not the same to be exact. Some are introverts, some are extroverts. I just want to share something, something that will make you realize that you have something to show up. We need to em-boost ourselves. We need to face our fears. Being an optimist is better than being pessimist. Self-esteem is very important, we really need that to let other people know that we are not weak. A positive self-stalk is a must. Always encourage ourselves that we can do anything as long as we want to. Indeed, to have a self-esteem is to stand with confidence, dignity and poise

Knowing Me Completely

My name is Edwin Buyan Ramos Jr.. I was born on October 13, 1998, which means I am 16 years old now. I have three siblings, two gorgeous elder sisters: Honey Grace and Irish Melody and one younger sister named Alexa. My father's name is Edwin G. Ramos and my mother's name is Normela B. Ramos. I am closer to my elder sister because she's funny to be with and has sense of humor. I am also fond of my younger sister too and make the most of it whenever I'm with her. I live in P-6 Brgy. Sto. Nino, Magallanes, Agusan del Norte. I'm currently a freshmen college student at Philippine Normal University in Prosperidad.
I considered myself as a matured person as compared to my colleagues with same age because I was raised by my parents to be a responsible son that will take care of my younger sister in the near future and when my parents reached their twilight age. Oftentimes, some people say that I am a good son, an achiever, a sports minded person who knows also how to throw jokes when needed. My parents taught me how to become an indispensable person, to always receive praises with reticence, to be a caring and loving person. I always have a heart to those people out there who are in needs especially the less fortunate kids and the abandoned homeless elders. I humbly believe that who I am today is because of my upbringing, my roots and the divine intervention from our Almighty God for being a prayerful  person. I love going to school and I always take my studies seriously. I am looking forward to be a DepEd secretary someday after taking my masters and doctorate degrees in education.
Indeed, I love my life although it is not perfect but my life lies with the positive side that makes me as the centerpiece of God's creation.
